Parashat Vayetzeh: Many Roads Lead to Marriage

Different Roads To Marriage
In the beginning of this week's Parasha Vayetzeh, Yaakov is traveling to go find a wife and the Midrash comments that when it comes to getting married, some people have to go out and find their Zivug and for others, their Zivug comes to them. Yitzchak Avinu stayed home and Rivka was brought to him, while Yaakov had to go out and search for his wife. Everybody's road to finding their Zivug is different. It doesn't always go the way we planned, but Hashem has it worked out exactly the way it's supposed to be.
Even if a person did make a mistake in the past and did turn down their Zivug, Hashem has countless ways of still bringing them together. It might not be the way we thought it would be, but it could always happen. And there are different Zivugim, Zivug Rishon, Zivug Sheni: there are other people compatible if the first one didn't come to fruition. Hashem could always bring a person a Shidduch, no matter what happened in the past. Everyone's road to their Shidduch is different, but if we know Hashem is involved, it will make the journey much easier to handle.
Shabbat Shalom!
