Capitalizing on Grace: Lessons from the Business World
There are people who have made more money on one business deal than others have made in their entire lives working day in and day out. Those who know how to capitalize on opportunities can gain so much in a short amount of time. The same is true in our spiritual lives. There are certain times when Hashem gives us Heavenly help, and if we capitalize on them, we’ll catapult ourselves into greatness.
Hashem loves us so much, He tells us about the judgment we are going through, He tells us how to succeed in the judgment and then, He gives us the help to do it and He tells us if we make teshuva, we’ll also be credited with a positive commandment from the Torah and rewarded for it. But with all the help that we get, we still need to do our part. We have to actually think about what we did wrong, feel bad about it and accept upon ourselves to change our direction and improve. If we could do that, Hashem will purify us. We’ll become so close to Him, and b’ezrat Hashem, we’ll be inscribed in the Sefer HaChaim both physically and spiritually.
