A Desire for Royalty: What Hashem Wants on Rosh Hashanah

We must know, Hashem wants to bless us, He wants to inscribe us in the Book of Life. What does He want from us? The Gemara says, אמרו לפני מלכויות – He wants us to have a desire for His Kingship. He wants us to trust that He knows what’s best for us. His will is for us to enjoy both this world and the Next and the only way we’ll have real enjoyment here is by following what He told us to do, clinging to the words of the Torah, living the lives that He wants us to lead. That is one aspect of malchuyot, accepting Hashem’s Kingship.
EIN OD MILVADO!! There is nothing in this world besides Hashem, everything that happens is a manifestation of His will. And that He is there for us to help us with every one of our needs. When a person sees in his own life how Hashem is so clearly involved with him, he should store that in his mind as a chizuk for the times that it is not as evidently clear.
Hashem is with us all the time. He loves us. He wants what is best for us. Let us trust Him, accept His Kingship and commit to leading the lives that He wants us to lead. And then, b’ezrat Hashem, we’ll have true joy in this world and the Next.
Shabbat Shalom and tizku leshanim Rabot!!
