Roadblocks as Tests: Growing Through Obstacles
The lesson for us is that whenever we want to grow in avodat Hashem and do something that is positive, any obstacle that comes up is nothing more than a test. Of course Hashem wants us to continue getting closer to Him. He never pushes a person away. He only challenges them. Whenever something is the right thing to do, we go full force ahead and do the best we can do to accomplish it. If we aren’t sure if the course of action we are taking is right, we should consult with a rabbi and ask him what he thinks. If he tells us, according to the way he sees the situation that we should hold back and maybe there are signs, then we listen. If he tells us we’re on the right path, then we pray to Hashem for help and try to overcome any obstacle that comes our way.
