Affirming His Kingship: The Theme of Rosh Hashanah
The theme of Rosh Hashanah is Hashem’s Kingship. Rather than spending the day making personal requests, we affirm our belief that Hashem is running the world. Hashem knows how to take care of our needs better than we do. Our job is to recognize that.
Hashem is so happy to shower us with beracha. All He wants is for us to enable Him, kavayachol, to do it. B’ezrat Hashem, we’ll come to a full recognition that Hashem is the Melech. We’ll be clear about it. We’ll yearn to follow His ratzon, and, b’ezrat Hashem be inscribed for a כתיבה וחתימה טובה.
