Value in Service: Success in a Day of Prayer
The Gemara in Sanhedrin tells us that David HaMelech asked Hashem why, in the Amidah, we say אלוקי אברהם, אלוקי יצחק, ואלוקי י עקב. Hashem responded that it is because the Avot were tested and passed their tests. We see from here that tests make a person great in this world.
