Master Plan: Seeing Roadblocks as Divine Intervention

The night of the Seder is all about hakarat hatov. We recognize all the miracles Hashem did for us then and continues to do for us now, and we thank Him for them. The Vilna Gaon asked, being that Moshe Rabbenu was the one chosen by Hashem to take the Jewish People out of Mitzrayim, seemingly we should be showing some type of hakarat hatov to him as well. However, as we know, his name is barely mentioned at all in the entire haggadah. Why is that so? The answer is that everything that happens in this world is done only by Hashem, and on a night when we are coming to recognize that, there is no room to mention anything or anybody else.
We have to thank other people when they help us, besides for the thank you that we give Hashem, because that is derech eretz, but when we are the ones who help, we should work on giving the credit to where the real credit is due, HaKadosh Baruch Hu. This is the character trait that was necessary to get us out of Mitzrayim, and this is the character trait we need to bring the ultimate geula that should come bikarov. Amen!
