Earning Eternity: The Purpose of Our Existence

Hashem Wants to Help
The Steipler wrote in his sefer Chayeh Olam, the same way a person has to pray for things he needs to live in this world, he also has to pray for the main purpose that he came down into this world for, avodat Hashem.
We need to ask for help, to be zocheh, to follow the Torah properly, both for ourselves and our children. Hashem wants to help us, but we need to ask Him first. If people don't know how to ask or don't want to ask, we can pray on their behalf. Hashem gives people awakenings because of the tefilot of others. And when we have siyata d’Shamaya, everything is possible. Even the most distant souls can come back into the fold.
When we pray to Hashem for help with spirituality, He does help. And although sometimes it may seem like He's not helping, He really is in the best way possible.
