Our Only Job: Serving Hashem in Your Given Circumstances

What is Emunah?
If a person was asked to define what emunah means, the answer would most probably be “the belief that Hashem exists.” However, as Rabbi Zamir Cohen pointed out, when the Torah speaks about Hashem’s existence, it does not use the word emunah, but rather ידיעה, which means knowledge. It says וידעת היום והשבות אל לבבך כי ה' הוא האלוקים. We are to know that Hashem exists. Besides for the fact that Hashem already revealed Himself in front of millions of people at Har Sinai, and then wrote in the Torah that no other nation will ever claim that G-d spoke to them like that, it is readily obvious to anyone who is honest with himself that Hashem is here with us.
Our Torah is filled with clear proofs about Hashem’s existence. Moreover, there are millions upon millions of hashgacha peratit stories with each one of them providing clear proof of Hashem. We have witnessed with our own eyes the Divine inspiration that Hashem gave to our Chachamim. And therefore, with all of this, we don’t need to believe in Hashem, we already have knowledge of Him.
It is never all or nothing, but the more a person is able to feel tranquil with the knowledge that Hashem is with him, the greater is his level of bitachon.
