Daily Chizuk #1025

The sefer Maor v’Shemesh writes that David HaMelech prayed in sefer Tehillim for everything that the Jewish People could possibly need until the coming of the Mashiach. He prayed for the sick people to be healed, he prayed for healthy people not to become sick, he prayed for people’s parnasa to be blessed, he prayed to nullify harsh decrees and the list goes on. And people throughout the generations have shed many tears over the sefer Tehillim while pouring out their own hearts to Hashem. Every word of Tehillim is a mitzvah and goes a very long way. It may happen that a person has been saying Tehillim in the zechut of someone who needed a refuah shelemah and because things are not changing, the person may begin to lose enthusiasm or skip some of the days he was supposed to say. Although we can’t see what we are accomplishing in the Upper Worlds with our tefilot and our Tehillim, we must continually give ourselves chizuk that our Tehillim does matter and is accomplishing a lot.
The power of Tehillim is great. Every word that we say always accomplishes something.
