Even Better: Learning from the Failure of the Meraglim
The pasuk says that Hashem is אמונה ואין עוול, צדיק וישר הוא – He is perfect in judgment and everybody gets exactly what they deserve. Yet, we look around and it doesn’t always seem to be that way. There are tzaddikim who suffer and reshaim who prosper. This anomaly has caused people throughout the generations to deny Hashem and forsake religion. Even people who do stay the course have this question lingering in the back of their minds and it bothers them to no end.
Now, in this world, it’s the children’s party. The main celebration is yet to come and there all will be understood. Those who stay strong in their emunah will be from the honored guests at the future party.
