One of the Happiest Days: The Joy of Tu B’Av

Tonight is Tu B’Av. The Gemara says it is one of the happiest days of the entire year. It’s called a Yom Tov – a holiday. Why is it so joyous? Because on this day in history, so many singles were successful in finding their zivugim. There was joy to the chatan, joy to the kallah, joy to the relatives and friends and it was compounded by so many singles finding their zivugim. It’s a day that’s מסוגל for shidduchim. On this day, the Shevatim became permitted to marry one another. On this day, Shevet Binyamin became allowed back to marry into the kahal. And in today’s times as well, people who are trying to get married spend this day in heartfelt tefila, asking Hashem to bring them their zivug.
