Pray for Siyata D’Shmaya: Lessons from Eliezer

Chayeh Sarah: Pray For Siyata D’Shmaya
In this week’s parasha Chayeh Sarah, the Torah gives a long description of Eliezer the servant of Avraham going to find a wife for Yitzchak. Immediately upon arriving to the city of where he was going to search for her, Ir Nachor, he made a tefila to Hashem to give him Siyata D’Shmaya and let him find the perfect girl. The Torah is not a book of stories. It’s a guide to teach us how to act. The lesson the Torah is teaching here is clear, our success in shidduchim comes from our tefila. Hashem can help each person find the perfect shidduch in all circumstances, no matter what their background is and no matter how unlikely it seems that they’ll get married.
Hashem could help us with anything. We should always pray for Siyata D’Shmaya in whatever we do.
Shabbat Shalom!!
